Motion was made and seconded to accept the treasurer’s report. Motion carried.
Article XIII, Dues and Fees, was presented for adoption. After discussion the article was approved, except for the following wording:
Any member who becomes sixty days in arrears in the payment of their dues/fees to the Association shall lose rights of membership in the Association until said dues/fees are paid, including up to 3 years in arrearages.
The Association directed the board to prepare an amendment to Article XIII concerning arrearages for an up or down vote at the spring meeting of the Association.
Marie was directed to send a letter to the Parks & Recreation Director voicing our concern that people attending the practice sessions and games of the soccer/football teams were parking in such a way that they were blocking driveways and blocking access for emergency vehicles.
Marie was directed to mail a hard copy of the invoice for dues/fees.
Items discussed but not voted on and deferred to the May, 2007 meeting:
- Contact local real estate agencies to ask them to inform prospective buyers that there is an association on Pickerel Pond. Should include the cost of dues/fees.
- Contact the Town of Limerick about making the person responsible to inspect boats at the boat ramp more accessible.
- Seek bids for a long-term contract, at a fixed rate, to plow Cottage Road, for a period of X years. This would prevent the road maintenance fees from fluctuating year to year.
There being no further business to come before the meeting motion was made, seconded and approved to adjourn. Meeting adjourned at 11:50 am.
Marie Doucette, Secretary
