PICKEREL POND ASSOCIATION MEETING
May 25, 2008
Attending: Lien & Aaron Brackett, Maureen Carey, Pat & Elaine Corcoran, Karl DeBisschop, Fred Dobson, Jr. Marie Doucette, Tom Ducey, Arlene Levin, Alan & Christine Lightbown, Mike Mattchen, Jeanette Millett, Glen & Cherie Morin, Janet Sakelakos, Bob Shyavitz, Richard West.
President Karl DeBisschop called the meeting to order at 10:10 AM.
First order of business was to determine who would be hosting the September meeting. Mike Mattchen volunteered. Also, the Lightbown’s volunteered to host the May, 2009 meeting.
Motion was made, seconded and approved to accept the minutes of the September, 2007 meeting.
Motion was made, seconded and approved to accept the treasurer’s report.
Old Business
- The association has been incorporated.
- Notice was distributed to all members re responsible use of snowmobiles.
- It was determined that it was not feasible to host an Invasive Plant seminar outdoors.
New Business
- President DeBisschop is to send a letter to residents of Cottage Road who have not paid road maintenance fees.
- Because of the high cost of snow plowing this past winter, and in accordance with the by-laws, road maintenance fee for the year 2008/2009 will increase by $10.00. New fee will be $95.00.
- It was agreed that we sponsor a lake-wide picnic the first Saturday in August. Possible locations were Frank Carroll’s property, the ball field, or Arthur Carroll’s airfield.
- Suggested that by-laws be amended to reduce the number of board members. Amendment to the by-laws to be submitted for the September ‘08 meeting.
- It was moved, seconded and approved to have the road graded at a cost of $400–$450.
- It was moved, seconded and approved to donate $50.00 to the Maine Volunteer Lake Monitoring Program.
Motion made, seconded and approved to adjourn. Meeting adjourned at 11:05 AM,
